Fellow UAA Hockey Alumni,
I hope this email finds you well. As a valued member of our alumni community, I'm reaching out to you with an important request that will significantly impact the future of our college hockey program.
As some of you may know, most of the alumni in attendance for the ASU games met with Chancellor Parnell during our November series against the ASU Sun Devils. During that breakfast meeting we committed to helping the Hockey program financially, one important need that the alumni identified was the hiring of an equipment manager.
As you may or may not be aware, our coaches have been fulfilling the duties of an Equipment Manager. Certainly not a good use of coaching time nor how a Division 1 program should operate. To address this crucial need, we are seeking to hire an Equipment Manager on a temporary basis for a period of 7 months at a cost of $27,000.00.
The role of the Equipment Manager is indispensable to ensure our athletes have access to the necessary resources to excel. This will relieve our coaching staff from this duty and allow them to concentrate on their coaching duties and advance the quality of UAA Hockey.
While this initial funding is essential to kickstart this initiative, our long-term goal is to integrate the funds required for the Equipment Manager position into the annual operating Hockey budget. By securing support from our alumni for the first year, we aim to demonstrate the importance and impact of this position, thereby facilitating its inclusion in future athletic department budgets.
Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference in our ability to provide our student-athletes with the support they need to thrive. Your generosity will not only benefit our current athletes but will also leave a legacy for generations to come.
To contribute, please visit Seawolf5thline.com or contact [name/email/phone number] for more information on how you can support this initiative. (Your donation is tax deductible, as the Seawolf 5th line has a non-profit status as a 501c3 corporation.) The funds will be kept in a separate account set up for the financing of an equipment manager. We need to move quickly as the 2024 - 25 season is approaching.
Thank you for considering this request, and for your ongoing commitment to our Seawolf Hockey program. Together, we can ensure a bright future for UAA Hockey.

Hello Seawolf hockey alumni, donors, fans and friends,
I am excited to share our plans for Seawolf Hockey and our intent to develop a Division I ice arena on the Anchorage campus.
UAA is currently in contract with JLL, a national firm with expertise in assisting universities with public-private partnerships, who will guide us in building a Division I ice arena at UAA. In the coming year, we'll share many exciting details as this project progresses.
This year, we've budgeted authorized funding for the 2024-25 hockey season and to cover the entire Seawolf Athletics program in the next fiscal year. However, we need your continued financial support to make this vision a reality and to keep Seawolf Hockey sustainable for the long haul.
Please consider a donation to the Hockey Excellence Fund through the UA Foundation. Support our student-athletes and help us sustain and continue to build a great program to be enjoyed by our community for years to come.
Go Seawolves!
